Chauniqua Young - Employment Attorney and Partner at Outten and Golden
Litigation attorney Chauniqua Young is a partner at Outten & Golden LLP in New York City. She was previously an associate in the same firm from September 2014 to July 2017 and from November 2018 to December 2020 before being named a partner in January 2021. Her primary roles include managing complex litigation for the firm’s clients, including both plaintiffs and claimants in employment discrimination and wage-and-hour class action cases. Chauniqua Young’s work also has included cases that challenge discriminatory compensation policies under the New York City Human Rights Law.
During her break as an employment lawyer and associate with Outten & Golden LLP, Ms. Young worked in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara Moses. Her community-based work includes litigating civil rights lawsuits at the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York as a Bertha Justice Fellow from 2012 to 2014, and serving as a development associate at the East Bay Community Law Center in Berkeley, California, from 2006 to 2009.
